Vintage Indian Bridal Saree – Heavy Handwork – Ivory, Gold & Red

About This Piece

This is an exceptionally heavily embellished piece featuring an ivory/white body with intricate gold-toned embroidery and beadwork, finished with beautiful red and green detailing. The main fall/pallu is a striking rich red, covered in elaborate gold-toned embroidery with large statement motifs. The contrast between the ivory body and dramatic red fall makes this a very special piece. Includes the original white/ivory fitted blouse, beautifully embellished to coordinate with the saree, including detailed embroidery to the front, back, neckline and cuffs. Condition: Vintage/pre-owned. Due to its age, there are some marks/discolouration, particularly under the arms of the blouse and along the bottom of the saree. These may improve with specialist cleaning, but I am selling it in its current condition and have photographed the condition as clearly as possible. This has been stored for many years and would benefit from a professional specialist clean.
